Plymouth College of Art – Graduate Scheme

Since I left University last June I have really missed the hub of creativity, chatter between students and drive of inspiration. Although I absolutely LOVE my gorgeous workshop I find the solitude hard sometimes. I was given a fantastic opportunity in March this year to become part of the Graduate Scheme at Plymouth College of Art. This means that one day a week I volunteer in the Jewellery Department helping the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years with their work and giving demonstrations on techniques and processes. In the afternoon I concentrate on my making as a professional jeweller and work towards the looming deadlines I have. It’s fantastic being back in the workshop (and this year the posh new workshop has opened), watching everybody make, think and create.
